Physiotherapists
Julie Kobrynovich | BScKin, MPT
Registered Physiotherapist
Julie is the clinic owner at Fundamentals Physiotherapy. In 2019, she had a vision of a multidisciplinary clinic that placed an emphasis on building critical relationships with their patients.
Where she believes she is different is that she’s been a patient before. Her rehab has included recovery from a fractured tibia, rotator cuff tear, SI joint instability and pelvic health concerns. She is a uniquely positive and empathetic individual that shows true care and concern for her patients and the community.
After receiving her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from the University of New Brunswick in 2004, she headed to Western University in London, ON where she completed her Masters in Physiotherapy in 2007.
Julie is a highly regarded Physiotherapist in the Durham Region and has a wealth of experience practicing physiotherapy for over 12 years. She spent a majority of her career working in private practice in the Durham Region, while also working casually at Lakeridge Health Oshawa. Over the years she has also provided Sport Physiotherapy services to local events and teams such as the Oshawa Vikings Rugby Club, Durham Attack Volleyball Club, etc. She has extensive experience working with orthopedics and sports rehabilitation, to the younger and older population. Her clinical approach focuses on manual treatment, functional movement restoration, educations and home exercise programs to encourage patients to take an active role in their rehabilitation. She prides herself in completing post-graduate courses in Acupuncture, McKenzie, K-Tape Practitioner, Vestibular Rehabilitation, Concussions, Women’s Health and more. She continues to pursue additional training in advanced manual and manipulative therapy.
A former university athlete, Julie continues to live an active lifestyle that includes being active in the community with 100 Women Who Care Oshawa and a frequent member of LA Fitness. She is also involved in the Ride to Conquer Cancer, a 200km cycling event from Toronto to Niagara Falls raising funds for Cancer Research through Princess Margaret Hospital. She also spends a majority of her time with her two active little girls and her husband.
Olga Aguilar | BScPT
Registered Physiotherapist
Olga graduated in 1993 from the University of the East Philippines with Bachelor of Science Degree. She has worked in private practice over the last decade, due to her love and keen interest in orthopedic conditions and sports rehabilitation.
She has experience in treating a variety of conditions including neck pain, shoulder dysfunctions, tendonitis, low back pain, arthritis, pre-and post surgical and sport specific injuries.
She continues to attend seminars and courses for further enhancement within the orthopedic field. She is registered with the College of Physiotherapy of Ontario and is a member of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association. Her additional education includes the McKenzie A & B, Mulligan Techniques, Acupuncture through AFCI, and the well known APTEI’s courses conducted by Bahram Jam APTEI’s courses on the Shoulder and SI Joint.
Olga is a world traveller and enjoys seeking out new adventures with her family and friends across the world. Her patients trust her in their recovery and speak very highly of her communication skills and therapeutic abilities.
Chona Dizon | BScPT
Registered Physiotherapist
Chona Dizon is a registered physiotherapist with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario. From evaluating a patient's condition to tailoring treatment programs that will suit a particular individual,
her passion for healthcare led her to a decade of service to the people of Durham Region. She is recognized by her clients to be thorough and effective in communicating the plan of treatment. She is experienced in managing acute injuries, chronic pain, and rehabilitation after orthopedic surgery.
Chona believes that even after obtaining her Bachelor of Physical Therapy in The Philippines, being an exceptional physiotherapist comes with the responsibility of keeping up-to-date with her practice. Therefore, she continued her studies at Thompson Rivers University and Ryerson University. In addition, she actively participates in educational conferences, workshops, and post-graduate physiotherapy courses such as Mulligan’s Mobilization with Movement, McKenzie A, Sacroiliac and Pelvic Complex, and Therapeutic Taping.
As a registered Assisted Device Program (ADP) authorizer, she can recommend personalized assistive devices to help patients with a long-term physical disability to carry out their daily life activities.
When she is not in the clinic, Chona and her family go for an adventure. Whether it’s a couple of weeks traveling abroad or a short weekend getaway, she loves having quality time with her growing kids and loving husband.
Kamille Aguilar
Physiotherapy Resident (RPT Resident)
Kamille completed her Master of Science in Physical Therapy at the University of Toronto. Prior to this, she obtained a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from Queen’s University.
Kamille has experience in multiple areas of care and has worked with a variety of populations ranging from adults to children. She has a strong interest in orthopedics and concussion management. Kamille looks forward to expanding her knowledge in the near future by taking additional courses in K-taping, acupuncture, concussion management, and manual therapy. Kamille is excited to be part of the Fundamentals Physiotherapy team and she is eager to provide patient-centered care to her community. She is committed to empowering her clients through developing goal-oriented, functional therapy plans, education and exercise.
In her free time, Kamille enjoys doing yoga, camping, hiking, and traveling.
Ashley | BHSc (Major in Kinesiology)
Physiotherapy Assistant (PTA)
Being physically active has always been an important part of Ashley's life whether it be through sports or activities like hiking and snowboarding.
Her interest in living a healthy lifestyle started when she was young and grew into a passion as she got older and now a career. In 2017, she graduated with a diploma in Health and Fitness from Durham College and just recently received her Bachelor’s Degree in Health Sciences, Majoring in Kinesiology from Ontario Tech University. She holds a passion for learning and continues to educate herself by completing certifications that will better her ability to help others achieve their health goals either through rehab or fitness. In 2020, she became certified in cupping and instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization and will continue to develop tools she can hook onto my belt.
Years ago, she was introduced to Olympic weightlifting and CrossFit, it humbled her and gave her a constant drive to challenge herself and do better every time she was in the gym or competed. Fitness continues to be a large part of her life as she strives to stay active and healthy, and coach CrossFit and Weightlifting classes at a local gym throughout the week. In her free time, it’s likely you’ll find her doing something active, being outside, or in the kitchen baking (this is where you’ll want her to be though, she is an excellent baker).
Kyla Mitchell
Physiotherapy Assistant (PTA)
Kyla is one of our Physiotherapy Assistants. She graduated from Durham College with a Diploma in Physiotherapist/Occupational Assistant (PTA/OTA) program in 2016 with Honours, and eventually geared herself into the orthopedic/outpatient clinical practice.
Currently, she is continuing her education in the Allied Health Science program at Ontario Tech University.
Kyla has played competitive hockey from the young age of 8 years old and continues to play in a recreational league. At the young age of 12, Kyla became interested in physiotherapy when she sustained her injuries that required physiotherapy to heal and return to sport. Ever since then she has been determined to pursue her dreams in becoming a physiotherapist.
Once Kyla has graduated from Ontario Tech University, she plans on attending University to complete her Master’s in Physiotherapy program so she may pursue her dream as a Registered Physiotherapist.
Jean-Paul Hernandez
Physiotherapy Assistant (PTA)
Jean-Paul (JP) is one of our newest Physiotherapy Assistants/Admin Assistants. You’ll see him at our front counter, sending you warm greetings, booking your next appointment, or helping one of our physiotherapists with your treatment session.
Very active in sports since he learned to walk, he’s an experienced marathon runner, having completed many full and half-marathons, 10ks and 5ks over the last 10 years. In the mid-2010’s, he was a community running ambassador in Toronto known as ‘The Dark Knight Runner’, dressing up as Batman to raise funds for children’s charities and causes. Accomplishing this endeavor made him realize he wanted to find a career that would help others live their lives to the fullest. This led him to Durham College in 2018, where he enrolled in the Occupational Therapist Assistant & Physiotherapist Assistant program. Upon graduating in 2020, he was accepted into Ontario Tech University where he will now be pursuing his Kinesiology degree.
His other hobbies include reading, comic book films and studying American Sign Language (as a Hard of Hearing person, he is an advocate for the Deaf community). He enjoys eating a delicious artisan pizza, a neat drink and planning the next travel destination with his life partner.
While new to a clinical environment he’s no stranger to delivering an outstanding client experience, having over 20 years of customer service knowledge in a variety of roles from entry-level to office manager. He’s excited to be part of the Fundamentals Physiotherapy team and eager to learn from all his fellow clinicians in helping our clients live their lives to the fullest.
Massage Therapists
Pierre Langlois | RMT CAHP
Registered Massage Therapist
Pierre graduated from Sutherland-Chan of Massage Therapy in 2017. In addition to his RMT designation, he brings a combined 20 years of experience working both as an energy worker and aromatherapist.
Having worked on various presentations and conditions, Pierre is a versatile therapist. During a treatment he may incorporate a combination of any of the following tools and techniques: Swedish Massage, Myofascial techniques, Cupping, Instrument-Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization (IASTM), Joint Mobilization, Trigger point therapy and Dynamic Release.
His approach to massage is clinically-based with a focus on active listening to provide custom tailored treatments to meet each patient’s wellness goals and needs.
Lillian O’Connor | RMT
Registered Massage Therapist
Lillian completed her Advanced Diploma in Massage Therapy in 2014 at Centennial College. During her tenure as an RMT, she has worked in a variety of settings, exposing her to a wide variety of conditions, ailments and clientele of all age ranges.
Lillian derives the greatest satisfaction when improvements are made from the combined efforts on both the part of the therapist and client and when her clients come away with a better sense of self awareness and connection. She can provide massage to aid in pain reduction, restoring impaired range of motion, anxiety and stress, prenatal/postnatal stages, digestive disorders, sleep disturbances/deprivation and to those just looking to decompress and relax after a hard day. Lillian can accommodate every member of your family and offer treatment that is focused, effective and beneficial.

Franklin Jimenez | RMT
Registered Massage Therapist
Franklin (Frank) graduated in 1995 from the Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy. With over 23 years experience, he has worked in a variety of Orthopedic and Sports Rehab settings with a variety of age groups.
His treatment techniques include deep tissue massage, various myofascial techniques, sports massage, and basic exercise prescription. He is able to develop individualized treatment plans for each individual specific to their injury or area of concern. Alongside its rehabilitation purposes, Frank also encourages the use of massage therapy for preventative measures and self care. He enjoys assisting patients achieve their goals in health and wellness.
Angela Friede | RMT
Registered Massage Therapist
I am fortunate to open another chapter of my rewarding career as a Registered Massage Therapist at Fundamentals Physiotherapy & Wellness Clinic.
I am reconnecting with Julie and the opportunity to work alongside her again as she strives to offer the community excellent care. I am embarking on an exciting journey to collaborate with an elite healthcare team as it flourishes.
I studied Massage Therapy at the Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy in Toronto and graduated in 2005. I have been utilizing my studies and continuing to learn and grow as a therapist since. My goal is to offer clients a safe, efficient and effective treatment plan to assist them in obtaining an improved level of comfort, decreasing their pain and offering the tools they need to perform their activities of daily living optimally.

Cassandra Chapman, DCS/DEC in Medical Office Administration
Office Administrator
Cassandra is our Office Administrator at Fundamentals Physiotherapy & Wellness Clinic. She brings over 4 years of administrative, customer service and human resource experience to the clinics administrative team.
With previous experience as a Medical Office Administrator and Human Resource Coordinator at a Pain Management Centre, she has extensive knowledge on the client experience, scheduling patients, clinical processes and physician correspondence. She will be working in collaboration with the clinicians to ensure patients have a great client experience from their initial booking to their final discharge.
Cassandra has impeccable organizational skills, is a fast learned and dedicated to being successful at the tasks she performs. She finds great satisfaction being the first point of contact for patients, and ensuring that the front desk runs smoothly and efficiently.
As for home life, after spending 10 years raising two handsome boys, Cassandra went back to school and graduated the Medical Office Administration program at Durham College with Honours in 2016. She loves spending time with her family, and has a small obsession for Harry Potter!
Michael Kobrynovich | BA Economics, CFP
Office Manager
Michael graduated from Wilfred Laurier University with a BA in Economics in 2005. He is a CFP designated financial planner who works for Sun Life Financial.
Michael’s first job ever was as a bookkeeper for a small retailer, and it seems like life has a way of coming around full circle. He will be ‘Jack of all Trades’ at Fundamentals Physiotherapy. Office manager and bookkeeper; he is here to help all clients have a smooth and pleasant interaction.
