VESTIBULAR THERAPY

Physical therapy used to treat vestibular disorders or symptoms, characterized by dizziness, vertigo, and trouble with balance, posture, and vision.

Vertigo is a commonly experienced disorder involving symptoms including dizziness and nausea sensations. They are frequently related to dysfunction of the vestibular apparatus, which is a small organ in your inner ear. It is important for maintaining your balance, coordination and movement. If there is any dysfunction, a patient may endure dizziness (vertigo), nausea, visual issues, lightheadedness, anxiety and major disturbance in daily life activities. We provide assessment and therapeutic solutions for such conditions as:

  • BPPV (Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo)
  • Vestibular Neuritis
  • Post Concussion Syndrome
  • Cervical Origin Dizziness

Our initial assessments include a subjective history on the complaint and an objective assessment of your vision, vestibular system, as well as your cervical spine. Once the assessment is complete, we are able to provide you with a clinical diagnosis and a personalized treatment program in collaboration with you to ensure your success. As an example, BPPV, a common vertigo condition caused by a calcium carbonate crystal dislocation in the inner ear is one of the most common conditions treated at the clinic. It is usually treated using the Epley Manuever with great clinic success.
