Mekai Hylton

Mekai completed the Physiotherapist/Occupational Therapist Assistant program at Durham College in the summer of 2025.

He has gained hands-on experience through three clinical placements, including the Fine Motor Clinic, another private clinic, and his final block placement here at Fundamentals Physiotherapy & Wellness.

Mekai has a strong passion for working with athletes and helping people return to their full potential after injury—something he values deeply, having experienced the challenges firsthand.

With an extensive athletic background, he has played basketball for several high-level teams out of Toronto and has travelled across the United States for competition. He also recently trained with the Raptors 905 after attending their tryouts.

Outside of the clinic, Mekai enjoys designing clothing for his own brand and loves spending time cooking.
