About Chona
Chona Dizon is a registered physiotherapist with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario. From evaluating a patient’s condition to tailoring treatment programs that will suit a particular individual,
her passion for healthcare led her to a decade of service to the people of Durham Region. She is recognized by her clients to be thorough and effective in communicating the plan of treatment. She is experienced in managing acute injuries, chronic pain, and rehabilitation after orthopedic surgery.
Chona believes that even after obtaining her Bachelor of Physical Therapy in The Philippines, being an exceptional physiotherapist comes with the responsibility of keeping up-to-date with her practice. Therefore, she continued her studies at Thompson Rivers University and Ryerson University. In addition, she actively participates in educational conferences, workshops, and post-graduate physiotherapy courses such as Mulligan’s Mobilization with Movement, McKenzie A, Sacroiliac and Pelvic Complex, and Therapeutic Taping.
As a registered Assisted Device Program (ADP) authorizer, she can recommend personalized assistive devices to help patients with a long-term physical disability to carry out their daily life activities.
When she is not in the clinic, Chona and her family go for an adventure. Whether it’s a couple of weeks traveling abroad or a short weekend getaway, she loves having quality time with her growing kids and loving husband.
